About Nicole Roberts Dillon
NICOLE ROBERTS DILLON was born and currently resides in Hammond, LA. She received her B.S. Degree in Accounting from Louisiana State University in December 2000, graduating Magna Cum Laude in her class and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority.
After graduation, Ms. Dillon worked as a staff accountant, performing governmental audits, preparing individual and corporate tax returns and dealing with simple and intermediate tax issues. While pursuing her legal degree, she joined the firm of Seale & Ross as a law clerk. She received her Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University Law School in New Orleans in May 2004. She was admitted to the bar for the State of Louisiana in 2005. Ms Dillon made Partner in the Law Firm in 2010. She is admitted to practice in all Louisiana State and Federal Courts.
Ms. Dillon has chosen to concentrate her legal practice in the area of domestic litigation and settlement and premarital planning. Ms. Dillon is one of two Board Certified Family Law Specialists in Tangipahoa parish, a designation awarded by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization after passing written testing and meeting other criteria. She was named a Rising Star by Louisiana Super Lawyers for the years 2013-2019. Nicole also received the 2015 Client Satisfaction Award from the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys.
Ms. Dillon has successfully handled child custody and visitation matters, child support, spousal support, civil restraining orders, paternity, protective orders, complex community property settlements, as well as premarital planning and prenuptial agreements. Ms. Dillon additionally practices in the areas of wills, successions, estate planning, commercial transactions and real estate transactions and is licensed to write title insurance policies in the State of Louisiana.
Ms. Dillon is a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church parish and is a lector there. Her son Collin attended St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School (Class of 2016) and is currently active in the Navy, stationed in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife and two children. Nicole held the position of Secretary of the Hammond Rotary Club for 6 years, and has been a board member for the Louisiana Children’s Discovery Center as well as the pro bono attorney since the formation of the center, and a member of Hammond’s Krewe of Omega for a number of years. She has volunteered her time and efforts for a number of community projects, including the BBQ N Blues, Hammond Rotary 10K, Jazz Brunch for the Children’s Museum, Dictionary Project, and others. Ms. Dillon has also spoken to students wishing to become attorneys to help provide insight and guidance into their future decisions.
Ms. Dillon represents spouses who are caught in the turmoil of divorce and the related problems of child support, custody and visitation of children of the marriage, and separation of community property. She devotes a large portion of her practice to this most important work. She develops a plan of action that is most economical and effective for her clients whether that be mediation or litigation. Her goal is to ease the amount of distress for her clients during the trying time of divorce or custody litigation.
In order to avoid many of the unnecessary struggles of a divorce, she also offers premarital planning, including prenuptial agreements. This type of planning can be a beneficial tool to avoid spousal disputes related to family estates and separate property.
