MICHELLE ALT HAZLETT was born in 1969 in Gulfport, Mississippi and earned her Juris Doctor from Tulane University School of Law where she was graduated cum laude in 1996.  While at Tulane, Mrs. Hazlett was a member of the Tulane Environmental Law Clinic and completed the Environmental Law Program, earning a Certificate in Environmental Law.

Mrs. Hazlett is also an honors graduate of the University of Mississippi where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1990 with a dual major in political science and history.  While an undergraduate, Mrs. Hazlett was a member of the Honors College, an officer of Alpha Omicron Pi fraternity, and president of Pi Sigma Alpha (political science honorary society).  Mrs. Hazlett pursued a Master's Degree in history at the University of Mississippi Graduate School before attending law school.

Prior to joining Seale & Ross, Mrs. Hazlett practiced primarily as a solo practitioner.  During her career, Mrs. Hazlett has represented clients in a wide variety of arbitration, mediation and litigation matters, including medical malpractice, products liability workers' compensation, international law, criminal law, commercial litigation, insurance defense, labor and employment law, personal injury, family law and juvenile law.  Mrs. Hazlett also served as an Assistant Public Defender with the 21st Judicial District and as the Director of Juvenile Programs with the City Court of Hammond.  Mrs. Hazlett's current practice focuses on civil and commercial litigation.

Mrs. Hazlett is a member of the Florida Parishes Inns of Court, the 21st Judicial District Bar Association and previously served as the treasurer of the Denham Springs Rotary Club.  Mrs. Hazlett resides in Mandeville with her husband, son and twin daughters.  Mrs. Hazlett is an avid reader and enjoys traveling with her family.
